Meditation

Is meditation for you?

Most people think meditation involves an having empty mind and sitting in silence without any thoughts. But who can empty their mind and stop thoughts intruding...nobody! With 60,000 thoughts a day going through your mind, achieving an empty mind is impossible. Achieving an empty mind is not what meditation is about. Meditating helps you focus (often on something like breath, awareness, or visualisation) and can bring calm to your life and help with stress, anxiety, overwhelm and so much more.

There are many different meditation techniques and tools that you can use to achieve a calm, centred mind. Not every technique is for everyone. By trying a variety of meditations (like in the introductory courses coming up) you will soon learn what works for you.

Simply by bringing more mindfulness into your life, you will start recognising when your automatic pilot takes over. You can learn how to actually be present in the NOW and enjoy life more, instead of getting stuck worrying about things you can’t change that happened in the past or that could (and probably never will!) happen in the future.

Meditation and mindfulness is a tool that you always have with you. You can do it literally anywhere and any time! It’s free and doesn’t require any tools or materials but can have profound results for your well-being and day to day life. Try it today!
